20th Century Club holds meeting

The 20th Century Club of Martin met Friday at the home of Joy Adams with she and Edna Harris as hostesses. We were met with each being given a glass of spiced cider and invited to visit with the club members as they arrived. The house was decorated beautifully with a tree and display of a Christmas village.
The tables were set with a holiday look that made you want to eat all the great dishes provided by the members.
After lunch, we sat in the living room telling of memorable Christmases of years past. We were told of learning about Santa and years with no electricity in our homes and visits from friends and families during the holidays.
Seventeen members spent an awesome afternoon. We each received a special momento of the afternoon. Betty Henderson gave the treasurer’s report.
Violet Harding read the minutes and the collect was read by president Joy Adams.
With it being Christmas, we conducted no business.
