Senior Friends have meeting

Senior Friends of Cobb’s Chapel United Methodist Church held the November meeting of the group at Autry’s Country Kitchen in Troy, where everyone enjoyed good food and fellowship.
Those attending were the Rev. Jimmy Calhoun, who offered thanks for the meal; Ursla Luker, who gave the devotional; John Luker; Ray Ball; Ilar and Mattie Lou Moran; Junior and Betty Davis; Leon McCullough; Evelyn Rudd; Martha Biggs; Brown Kendall; Clen Reavis; Aaron Smith; Louise Johnson; Maudie Byrd; Faye Howard; Virginia Smithson; Trixie Heidelberg; Jeanette Criswell; Mary Jane Clark; Kay Fultz; Anna Mae Muse; Wilba G. Scott; Rob Muse; Norval and Virginia Cranford; Cy and Etta Harris; and Mary Nichols.
Thanksgiving and Veterans Day themes were carried out through the devotional and readings, which were presented by Calhoun and Mrs. Moran.
Scott and Mrs. Muse were celebrating their 88th birthdays and Mrs. Fultz treated the group to cup- cakes in honor of the special occasion.
Senior Friends will celebrate with the annual Christmas luncheon at Autry’s Country Kitchen Monday at 11:30 a.m.
There will be a $5 gift exchange.
