OFFICERS ELECTED — Red Hat Dames of Union City met recently at Ryan’s Family Steakhouse for a Christmas Party and election of officers. Members attending included (seated, from left) president Margaret Moore, Kayti Adkins, Tilly Perry, Judy Callens, Christine Laird, Shirley Kaler, (standing) secretary Dolores Quinton, Patsy Roney, retiring president Novella Little, Trudie Thornton, Virginia Mayse, treasurer Mary Jo Hendrix, Diane Cook and vice president Patti Leeke. Other members include Jeannine Bunch, Patsy Crum, Peggy Grogan, Betty Kean, Jane Sutton and Paula Woody. The group voted to donate a basket for Chimes for Charity and to hold an auction each August for Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope. The group will meet again Jan. 4 at 11:30 a.m. at Blues City Bistro, behind Terry Petty Chevrolet, in Union City. All interested women are invited to drop in and have some fun, a spokesman said.
