M.H. King Jr., 67, of Ypsilanti, Mich., formerly of Union City, died Nov. 27, 2011.
Services were at C&H Community Home for Funerals in Ypsilanti, with interment there in United Memorial Gardens.
He was born Feb. 17, 1944, in Union City, son of the late M.H. King and the late Ethel Lee Johnson. He attended the former Miles School.
He is survived by his soul mate, Shirley Ann King; five sons, Mark Anthony King, Eric Sean King, Roger Allen Rope-King and Willie King, all of Ypsilanti, and Julius Davis of Arlington, Texas; four daughters, Erica King and Maggie King, both of Ypsilanti, and Emma King and Amanda Depew, both of Carbondale, Ill.; four sisters, Dorothy Prude of Cleveland, Ohio, Alma Pirtle and Angela King Anderson, both of Carbondale, and Carolyn King Harris of Union City; his brother, Alshah T. King of Cleveland; and 24 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Henry “Pee Wee” King; four brothers, Arthur Daniel Pearson, Robert Lee King, Charles Edward King and Sylvester King; and two sisters, Katherine King and Tammy King.
