Claude A. Cochran, 74, of Lewisville, Ohio, formerly of Troy, died Dec. 10, 2011, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Road Fork Baptist Church near Lower Salem, Ohio, where he was a member. Full military graveside services will follow at the church cemetery.
He was born Sept. 10, 1937, in Obion County, son of the late Felix F. and Mary (Bumpus) Cochran. He was a retired electrician for Ormet Corp. and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Cochran; three sons, Claude Cochran Jr. of Frog Jump, Harold D. Cochran of Troy and Richard Cochran of Ohio; two daughters, Teresa Townsend of Virginia Beach, Va., and LaVanche Hand of Friendship; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joella Parrott of South Fulton and Ouedia Osborne and Lois Sullivan, both of Union City; and four brothers, Wayne Cochran of Troy, David Cochran of Southaven, Miss., Marion Cochran of Jackson and Larry Cochran of Rutherford.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Graden Cochran, Gwinn Cochran and Ellis Cochran; and five sisters, Rebecca Pinion, Grace Arnn, Grear Owens, Geniece Ragsdale and Jeanette Thurmond.
