Carolin Sue (Tanner) Wallace, 70, of Hornbeak died Dec. 9, 2011, at Obion County Nursing Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cobb’s Chapel Cemetery. Kevin Thomason will officiate, assisted by Robert Taylor Jr., and pallbearers will be Freddie Preuett, Doug Tanner, Mark Wallace, David Wallace, Lowell Sanders and Andy Crews.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
The family requests that memorials be made to A Bible Answer television program, in care of Phillips Street Church of Christ, 912 Phillips St., Dyersburg, TN 38024.
She was born Nov. 8, 1941, in Shelby, Mich., daughter of the late James Benjamin Tanner Sr. and Ludie (Osburne) Tanner of Maryville.
She married Raymon H. Wallace April 1, 1961. He died March 5, 1995.
She prepared the fried pies and fish for the former Hillbilly Barn Restaurant near Hornbeak and was a member of Lakeview Church of Christ in Samburg. She had attended Central Church of Christ in Caruthersville, Mo., for the past two years, while living with her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Mike McDaniel.
She is also survived by two grandchildren, Brian McDaniel and Kayla McDaniel, both of Caruthersville; two brothers and her sister-in-law, Bruce and Joyce Tanner of Townsend and James B. Tanner of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four sisters and her brother-in-law, Betty Buttke of Oshkosh, Wisc., Alice and Paul Kendziorski of Fremont, Mich., Sarah Barclay of Muskegon, Mich., and Nancy Kunde of Clinton, Mich.; and several sisters-in-law and cousins, including her sister-in-law Mary Tanner of Union City and her cousin Faye Smith of Martin, both of whom were devoted to her in her final hours.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Tanner.
