Mildred Louise (Beall) Babb, 79, of Union City died Dec. 7, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stan Waldon officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 9-11 a.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Drew Babb, Devin Babb, Mitchell Babb, Tyler Babb and Michael Babb.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope.
She was born April 13, 1932, in Fountain Mills, Md., daughter of the late Ronald and Myrtle (Sealocks) Beall. She married James William Babb April 21, 1950. He died in June 1988. She was a homemaker and had been a very active member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church near Union City. She had also worked in the nursery at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church for many years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jeanie Babb of Union City; two grandsons, Devin Babb of Union City and Drew Babb of Martin; her granddaughter, Jamie Lane Babb of Martin; her great-granddaughter, McKensie Grace Babb of Martin; three sisters, Frances Showe and Ellen Scildtknect, both of Fredrick, Md., and Hazel Wills of Akron, Ohio; and two brothers, James Beall of Eagle River, Alaska, and William Beall of Fredrick.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Windson.
