In 2009 she was nominated for a Mid-America Emmy with several of her peers for Team Coverage during Winter Storm ‘09. A native Texan, Jennifer moved to Memphis while in high school. During her time at UT Martin, she acted as support and development director, news director, and on-air talent for the campus radio station WUTM-FM 90.3 “The Hawk,” and also worked with the West Tennessee PBS affiliate, WLJT-DT, as a camera operator.
Before graduating she was named Best Television Journalist in the Southeast Journalism Conference and received the Communicator Award of Distinction for a Habitat for Humanity Public Service Announcement. She graduated from the university in May 2007 as a University Scholar.
Tickets are not required for admission to December commencement, and more than 600 degrees are expected to be awarded. A live webcast will be available at the “View Commencement Live” link on the UT?Martin homepage.
