Martha (Moore) Mahan, 94, of Fulton died Dec. 6, 2011, at Haws Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center in Fulton.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton.
After the graveside service, there will be a visitation at Fulton First United Methodist Church from noon-1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at that hour.
Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to Fulton First United Methodist Church, 200 Carr St., Fulton, KY 42041.
Mrs. Mahan graduated from Fulton High School at the age of 16 and went on to obtain a degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky. Her parents owned and operated the Fulton Daily Leader for many years and she spent most of her life working in various roles with the Fulton Daily Leader. She had lived in this area all her life.
She was an avid golfer and Kentucky Wildcat fan and was a member of Fulton First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann (Mahan) and Bill Smith of Fulton; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Moore and Brenda Mahan of Fulton; her brother, Jack Hoyt Moore of Fulton; two grandchildren, John Nanney of St. Louis and Bradley Nanney of Fulton; two great-grandchildren, Abbie Nanney and Avery Nanney, both of Fulton; her nephew; two nieces; three great nephews; and two great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Fields Mahan; and her parents, Hoyt and Gladys (Robinson) Moore.
