Harry Nida, 37, of 6297 JJ Faulkner Road, Union City, reported to the Union City Police Department that the catalytic converter from his wife’s 1996 Cadillac has been stolen while it was parked at Herman Jenkins Motors in Union City.
According to the report, the car had been sitting at the back of the dealership for about two months. It was noted the officer could see where the grass had grown up underneath the car and where the tires had been, but could not see where the car would have been jacked up to remove the part. It was noted there would have been no other way to remove it.
