Steven Castellaw of Rives was recently inducted into Tennessee Tech University’s Tennessee Gamma chapter of Tau Beta Pi, a national engineering honor society.
He is a mechanical engineering major at TTU in Cookeville.
Castellaw, the son of Nan Castellaw and the late John Castellaw, graduated from Obion County Central High School.
As the nation’s second-oldest honor society, Tau Beta Pi is the only engineering honor society representing the entire engineering profession and has the highest academic eligibility requirements of any honor society in the engineering discipline. Only the top 20 percent of engineering students across TTU’s five disciplines are eligible to join.
