UP, UP AND AWAY — A 2003 Chevy Trailblazer was pulled up from an embankment by a crew from Buddy’s Wrecker Service following a crash that occurred during snowfall about 7:15 a.m. today on Highway 431 at the overpass near Highway 22, just east of Union City. The driver, Cory Sims of Troy, was on the overpass on Highway 431, headed to Highway 22, traveling southbound, when he came over the overpass and lost control of the vehicle. It ran off the west side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, traveled over the guardrail and overturned down an embankment, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol Sgt. Carl Jones. Sims, who was traveling alone, was not injured. No charges were levied, but the vehicle was heavily damaged. Jones said two other minor traffic accidents occurred out in the county during the inclemenet weather, but nothing serious was reported.
