A Union City man who was parked in the 500 block of Nash Street waiting on a friend was allegedly robbed on Wednesday.
According to a report at the Union City Police Department, the man said he was waiting on his friend around 12:30 a.m. when he saw a young, skinny black male walking by his vehicle. A few moments later, the man came up to the passenger side of the vehicle and got inside the car. The suspect removed a screwdriver from the ignition of the car, which is used by the victim to start the car, and told the victim he wasn’t going anywhere, according to the report.
The report states the suspect and the victim then wrestled over the screwdriver while the suspect yelled “Get him, Flo.” The suspect was then assisted by a second black male who held the suspect against the seat.
The suspects then took the victim’s wallet and fled the scene on foot, the police report states.
