Weakley County AARP news

Weakley County AARP Chapter No. 3392 met on Oct. 19 in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church in Martin. Hostesses were Sarah Hazelwood and Jerry Seamans.
Chapter president Mary Elizabeth Bell welcomed the seven members and one visitor. She then read the AARP chapter rules.
Secretary Martha Lamb read the September minutes and treasurer Jerry Seamans gave the financial report.
Bell read “Spectators” in memory of Woodrow Collier. Then, she read “Rules of Conduct for Teachers.”
Bell reminded everyone to have picture IDs on driver’s licenses in order to vote.
The next chapter meeting was scheduled for Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. at Snappy Tomato Pizza restaurant in Martin. Lunch was Dutch treat. Future plans for the AARP chapter were discussed.
