Iva H. Owen, 88, of South Fulton died Nov. 18, 2011, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Ky.
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, with interment in Johnson Grove Cemetery near South Fulton.
The family requests that memorials be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 1325, Fulton, KY 42041; or Operation Christmas Child, in care of First Baptist Church, 115 Second St., Fulton, KY 42041.
She was a homemaker and medical technologist at the former Fulton Hospital and had retired from Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton in 1987 after 40 years of service. She was a graduate of the former Dixie High School in Obion County, a member of Fulton First Baptist Church and a resident of the area all of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Billie Owen, to whom she was married in 1948; her daughter and son-in-law, Kim (Owen) and Bobby Dean Combs of Queidersbach, Germany; her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Dianne Owen of South Fulton; five grandchildren, Jennifer Amy Delloma of Derby, Kan., Kelly Rose Combs of Springfield, Mo., Joshua Paul Combs of Grunstadt, Germany, Brett Hamilton Owen of Hendersonville and Seth Warren Owen of Smyrna; her great-grandchild, Morgan Rose Krejci Delloma of Derby, Kan.; and her sister, Ledelle Lynch of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Burnett and Leona (Hickman) Hamilton, three sisters and twin grandsons.
