BACKING PAT – Several area residents participated in the Alzheimer’s Associations Walk to End Alzheimer’s Nov. 12 at Autozone Park in Memphis. The event brought together over 1,100 participants and raised $113,000 to date on the way to the goal of $140,000. The walk covered a 2.5-mile distance in downtown Memphis and along the river front and was completed in honor of Coach Pat Summitt all others who have been affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. “I cannot tell you what a good feeling it is to have been a part of this walk for all people who suffer with dementia/Alzheimer’s. I can’t wait until next year because I truly believe our team will grow in number,” Donna Wilson said.
