A need to do carpentry work has gone too far as several woodworking tools have been reported stolen in an apparent burglary in Martin.
According to a report from the Martin Police Department, on Nov. 7 officers responded to a call at 1166 Elm St. at approximately 4:41 p.m. in reference to an alleged burglary that happened over the weekend.
The report stated that officers spoke to a person who stated that sometime between Nov. 5 and noon on Nov. 7, someone allegedly and unlawfully entered his workshop by means of the front door and stole several assorted hand tools including a Bostitch one-inch air brad nailer, a Bostitch finishing air nailer, an impact wrench with an undetermined amount of sorted sockets, a set of eight wood chisels, a .5-inch impact ratchet, one porter cable 7 π inch saw with a case, a porter cable brand router and a hydraulic tool body set. Upon entry, officers allegedly noted damage to the door.
The total approximate value of the missing items is $1,175.
