Gary Morris will bring his 2011 Christmas show, “My Country, My Christmas,” to the Ned McWherter Arts Center in Jackson for two nights — Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performances are on sale at the Potter’s Garden, Jenny Craig and the Ned, all in Jackson. Tickets for the Dec. 1 performance are also available at American Cancer Society offices in Jackson.
On Nov. 30, a group of Renaissance students from Bethel University in McKenzie will join Morris on stage for a performance of a couple of songs.
Dec. 1, Morris will partner with Coyote Blues, Jenny Craig and the Potter’s Garden to benefit the American Cancer Society. Tickets are available for $100, which includes a dinner buffet at Coyote Blues from 5-7 p.m., the VIP reception at the Ned from 6:45-7:30 and a premiere reserved seat at the concert at 7:30.
Morris will perform a selection of country standards, including the signature “Wind Beneath My Wings;” the Grammy-winning “Bring Him Home” from “Les Mis,” which he recorded with the London Symphonic Orchestra; and traditional holiday music.
In addition, Morris will debut selections from his latest CD, “Faith and Freedom,” including the title cut, his masterful arrangement of “The Battle Hymn” and the inspirational “I Believe.”
His performance at the Ned in 2010 was a complete sell-out with standing room only. All seats to the performances are reserved and seats are limited. For more information, contact any of the ticket outlets.
