80 YEARS — Dixie S. Wilson of Hornbeak will celebrate her 80th birthday Nov. 25 from 3-7 p.m. at her home. She was born and raised near Tiptonville and graduated from Tiptonville High School in 1949. She moved to Hornbeak in 1949 after marrying the late Mose Summers. She then married the Rev. Charles J. Wilson, who has pastored Southside Baptist Church for the past 18 years. She worked in the dental office of Dr. Al Burson in Ridgely for more than 30 years and has served in numerous volunteer capacities for the American Cancer Society. She is a charter member of the Obion County Survivors Group and of the Obion County Red Hat Society. Her daughter and son-in-law, Janis and Herman Small, live in Florida. She has two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her family is requesting her family and friends write a story of a memorable time shared with Mrs. Wilson as their gift to her.
