Jenna Miller of UT Mar-tin was one of six individuals to receive the Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Award for 2010-11.
The award is the highest individual honor that can be earned by OVC student-athletes and is given annually to three men and three women of junior or senior status for their accomplishments in both the classroom and athletic arena, and because of their leadership qualities.
The award is based on academic and athletic criteria/accomplishments achieved during the 2010-11 school year.
Miller is in her fourth season with the UT Martin volleyball team.
Voted the team captain by her teammates, Miller has been a starter and key contributor for the Skyhawks as a setter. She has earned at least one all-tournament team honors in each of the past three seasons.

That mark has earned her three OVC Medal of Honor and Commissioner’s Honor Roll selections. She has also been named to the Dean’s List every semester at UTM and has won the Faculty Scholar Award.
Miller is a member of the Skyhawk’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, serving as the vice president in 2010-11 and as the president this year.
