James ‘Bubba’ Leonard Johnson

James “Bubba” Leonard Johnson, 67, of Hickman, Ky., died Nov. 8, 2011, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at East Baptist Church in Hickman, with the Revs. Ben Stratton and Mark Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Strong Funeral Home in Hickman is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends today at the church after 5 p.m.
He was born in Hickman Nov. 18, 1943, son of the late Joe and Lorene (Jackson) Johnson. He was a retired truck driver with the Fulton County (Ky.) Road Dept. and was a member of East Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Bing Johnson of Hickman; his son and daughter-in-law, Scotty and Lisa Johnson of Fulton; his daughter and son-in-law, Treva and Lynn Grissom of Hickman; his brother, Bobby Johnson of Hickman; four sisters, Annie Killebrew and Nettie Sue Jones, both of Hickman, Connie Jackson of Mayfield, Ky., and Jean Beebe of Union City; five grandchildren, Grant Grissom, Linsey Grissom, Trace Grissom, Lexi Johnson and Logan Johnson; and two step-grandchildren, Jade Emery and Emil Bandurowicz.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bill Johnson, Ken Johnson, Ed Johnson and Manuel Johnson; and two sisters, Minnie Lois Swindle and Angie Sims.
