Gospel concert set
A southern gospel concert is planned for Sunday at 11 a.m. with Randy Crowder at Fulton Liberty Worship Center, located at 120 Forestdale in South Fulton.
The Rev. Danny Walker and the congregation invite the community to join them.
Harvest Day set in WM
Annual Harvest Day will be celebrated Sunday at Woodland Mills First Baptist Church.
Sunday school will begin at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11, with a potluck fellowship meal to follow in the church’s ACTS Building, located behind the main church building.
The Joylanders will be there, with afternoon music to begin around 2. There will be no evening service.

Christmas bazaar set
The annual Christmas Bazaar at Union City First Christian Church will be Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon. There will be delicious baked goods and beautiful crafts for sale in the fellowship hall on the corner of Lee and Second streets near downtown Union City.
A sausage and biscuit breakfast will be served at a cost of $2.
CP service set
Members of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church on the corner of East Church and South Home streets will begin Sunday services at the church with prayer at 9:45 a.m. for the congregation, the worship service, the church and the nation.
Sunday school will follow at 10, with worship at 11. The latter will be broadcast live on WOBT-TV.
Holy Grounds coffee fellowship with coffee, doughnuts and good conversation will take place at 10:40. A nursery is provided for services.
On Sunday, the congregation will share communion.
The speaker will be the Rev. Jim Pinnel, who will be speaking from John 1:35-51. His sermon is titled “Come and See.”
Pinnel and his wife, Carol, raised seven children and now are blessed with eight grandchildren. He has been serving in the Gleason Cumberland Presbyterian Church for the last 11 years and has held several other posts during his ministerial career.
To honor Dotstry
Bashan Baptist Church in Rives will honor Elder Rozelle Dotstry Sunday at 2:30 p.m. on his anniversary of service to the congregation. The Rev. Eugene Coleman and the congregation of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church in Union City will be the special guests. A meal will be served when they arrive.
Women Helping Women
Women Helping Women will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at Healing Faith Family Worship Center, located on West Main Street in Union City. For more information, call 885-8493.
The discussion will focus on the book, “The Believer’s Authority,” by Andrew Wommack.
One-day gospel meet set
A one-day gospel meeting is planned for Sunday at Mt. Zion Church of Christ in the Shawtown community. The guest speaker will be Corey Sawyers of Greenfield, who will discuss “How Do We Get Saved?” at 10 a.m., “For God So Loved the World …” at 11 and “The Foolishness of God” at 1:30 p.m.
William Denman will lead worship in song. Following the 11 a.m. service, there will be a noon potluck luncheon in the congregation’s fellowship hall.
Sawyers is minister of Liberty Church of Christ in Greenfield and he and his wife, Melody, have three sons: Garrett, Gordon and Gannon.

To aid families
Union City First Assembly of God, located at 1810 Pleasant Valley Ave., will host a Fall Outreach Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.
Area residents are invited to shop for free gently-used clothing for the entire family. Items available include infant and children’s clothing, adult winter clothing and blankets. Each family will also receive a free bag of groceries, while supplies last.

The congregation of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church at 1106 Vine St. in Union City will honor their pastor, Elder Ron Smith, and his wife Sunday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Darrell Turner, pastor of Mt. Zion CME Church in Union City, will be the speaker. At 3 p.m., the Rev. James Watford and the congregation of Jacksonville Free Will Baptist Church in South Fulton will be special guests.

To mark Women’s Day
Miles Chapel Church in Martin will mark Women’s Day Sunday, with Sherry Jenkins Davis as the speaker at 11 a.m. and Bishop Brenda Greer of New Birth Ministries in Fulton as the 3 p.m. speaker. There will be a fellowship meal between services.

To celebrate harvest
Clint Overton will be the speaker Sunday at Wynnburg Baptist Church, when the congregation celebrates Harvest Day. A meal will be served at noon and there will be singing with Living Truth at 1:30 p.m. The community is invited to attend, according to the pastor, the Rev. Larry Byassee.
Derek W.H. Thomas will be the speaker at the 2011 Reformation Conference at First Presbyterian Church in Dyersburg. A native of Wales and associate pastor at Columbia (S.C.) First Presbyterian Church, he is a regular speaker at R.C. Sproul’s Ligonier conferences.
The services for the conference, whose theme is “How The Gospel Brings Us All The Way Home,” will be 6:30 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
