The first of two orientation sessions for juniors at Union City, South Fulton and Obion County Central high schools who want to learn more about the 2012 Union City Rotary Club-sponsored all-expense-paid trip to four European countries is set for 7 p.m. Thursday in the family life center at Union City First United Methodist Church at 420 East Main St. Parking will be available in the lot behind the church on South Ury Street.
At least one parent or legal guardian must accompany each student to the session or to the second session, set for Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. at the same location, according to a spokesman.
Information about the upcoming fourth opportunity for free travel that is open to members of the Class of 2013 at the three high schools in the county will be provided and there will be an opportunity to meet both the chaperones for the trip and students who participated in last year’s adventure, to view a video of the 2011 trip and to ask questions about the 2012 trip.
Students can only receive the necessary application for the trip if they attend one of these sessions with a parent or legal guardian. There will be no exceptions.
The trip is planned for June 26-July 8 and will include two nights each in London, Paris and Rome and visits to other cities, including time spent in Lucerne, Switzerland.
For more information, call Glenda Caudle at 885-0744 during daytime hours or contact the guidance counselors at one of the schools.
