DANCING WITH PROFESSIONALS — Students and staff from Stepz Dance Studio in Union City recently participated in the Showstoppers Dance Convention held in Biloxi, Miss. They attended classes with instructors Hayley Mac of Tapper Extraordinaire; Alexie Agdeppa and Gev Manoukian, both of “So You Think You Can Dance” television show; Mary Ann Lamb of 18 Broadway shows; and Geo Hubela of “America’s Best Dance Crew” television show. In total, they danced 12 hours in two days. Among those attending from Stepz Dance Studio were (front) Emmarie Cermak; (seated, from left) Dinah Batchelor; Mendi Scarborough; Rachel Rutledge; Delaynee Cermak; Kimberly Schwartz; (standing) hip-hop instructor JohnAnne Harris; artistic director and owner Delinda Scarborough Goad; assistant director, Pre-K and Dance I instructor, Dance II and Dance III assistant instructor and Company Class assistant Amy VanValkenburg; and Junior Company instructor Julie Pruitt.
