The UT Martin women’s basketball team posted a 96-42 exhibition victory over Christian Brothers Thursday night in the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center.
En route to the victory, Skyhawk head coach Kevin McMillan said his team accomplished two goals.
“We wanted every player to play a minimum of 12 minutes and a maximum of 24 to 25 minutes,” McMillan said. “We also wanted to see if we could get some answers from our post players. That was the goal of the day.”
Every Skyhawk played at least 12 minutes. Sophomore Megan White played 25 minutes and senior Taylor Hall played 22 minutes. Hall led the Skyhawks in scoring with 17 points. Sophomore Jaclissa Haislip scored 14 points, while sophomore Heather Butler rounded out the double-digit scoring with 12 points.
Haislip scored all 14 of her points in the first half. She also had a pair of 3-pointers and five rebounds.
Hall led the charge in the second half with eight points. She finished the game with eight rebounds and seven assists. Junior post player Rickiesha Bryant led the Skyhawks with 10 rebounds and eight points.
