Poster contest winner announced

Armanda Stringer took home the top prize in a recent art contest geared toward Child Health Week Oct. 3-9.
The TENNderCare Program and Weakley County Schools Coordinated School Health partnered recently to sponsor an art contest in conjunction with Child Health Week (Oct 3-9).
All fifth-grade students in the county were invited to participate to promote Child Health Week using the theme “A Healthy Tennessee begins with a Healthy Me!”
Students were given ideas such as healthy eating, exercise (walking, playing, sports, outdoor activities, etc.), dental visits, getting shots and doctor visits to create their drawings.
Entries were judged during the week of Oct. 3-9 and the winner was Armanda Stringer from Martin Elementary School. She is a student in Mindy Halverson’s fifth grade class.
Stringer will have the honor of having her artwork printed by McTees of Martin.  Armanda’s artwork will be distributed by the Greenfield Subway and will be placed with customers’ orders.
TENNderCare and Coordinated School Health congratulate Armanda and wishes to thank McTees and Subway for their sponsorship in the art contest.
