Union City police have released photos of two suspects currently being sought on methamphetamine-related charges in connection with a meth lab discovery last month.
Sergio Arturo Hernandez, alias David Garcia, 34, and Tammie Renee Smith, 39, are wanted on warrants charging each with six counts of manufacturing methamphetamine and six counts of promotion of methamphetamine.
On Oct. 13, officers from the Union City Police Department and the 27th Judicial District Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a duplex at 419 South Sixth St. in Union City being rented by Ms. Smith and occupied by Ms. Smith, Hernandez and Kenneth Lee Moore, 27, according to a police press release.
The warrant was for information received that the occupants were allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine. No one was home when the search warrant was served.
During the search of the residence, officers found the remnants of six “shake and bake” meth labs, along with three one-gallon zip lock bags of meth oil.
Moore was arrested Oct. 22 on meth-related charges.
Active warrants are still on file for Ms. Smith and Hernandez for the meth-related charges.
Anyone who has information about their whereabouts is asked to call the Union City Police Department at 885-1515 or Crime Stoppers at 885-TIPS (885-8477). Crime Stoppers may also be emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org.
