Winch stolen

David Wisener of Rives reported to the Union City Police Department Saturday that a winch had been stolen off his truck.
The truck, a 1976 Chevrolet pick up truck, has been parked in the parking lot at Midtown Transmission on East Jackson Street in Union City for about a month.
Wisener said he first noticed the winch — a black and gray heavy-duty winch with a three-eighths inch cable — was missing on Oct. 22. He said although he purchased the winch in the 1980s, it is in good shape.
The report noted that whoever took the winch cut through the electric cables with bolt cutters and unbolted it from the truck.
