Judie Minga Benefit
There will be a benefit for Judie Minga featuring food, music and fun on Oct. 29 at Martin American Legion Post No. 55 at 221 Central St.
The night will begin at 6 with Avonlea playing while dinner is served until 8. The dinner will include a pork loin with green beans, slaw, potatoes, rolls, tea or coffee and a dessert.
Tickets may be purchased from any auxiliary member for $10 per person.
In addition, there will be a music from 9 p.m. until whenever, an adult costume contest and a drawing for a Huskee 46-inch triple blade riding lawnmower.
 For donations in the amount of $5 or $20, tickets will be issued for the drawing and one ticket is given for a $5 donation and six tickets are given for a $20 donation.

Nov. 5
2011 4th annual Veterans Parade 10 a.m.
Sponsored by Rolling Thunder® TN Chapter 6. There are no entry fees to participate in the parade. Veterans will be offered transportation during the event. Parade line-up will begin at UT Martin’s Hardy M. Graham Stadium parking lot.
The route will follow University Street to Lindell Street in downtown Martin.
