Fundraiser for Mike Thomas

There will be a fundraiser for Mike Thomas Nov. 19 from 8 p.m. until whenever at the Dresden American Legion. Rock and country music will be provided by Ruckus and there will be a $5 cover charge at the door. There will be an auction during the band intermission featuring homemade items, baked goods, gifts, housewares and gift certificates. Anyone wishing to donate an item for the auction or in need of more information can call Robin at (731) 571-5193 or Sissy at (731) 363-2124. Thomas is currently receiving radiation and chemotherapy treatments at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago. His four-year-old son, Nathan, is receiving chemotherapy at Duke Childrens’ Hospital in North Carolina for a brain tumor.
