Society to meet

The winter meeting of the Jackson Purchase Historical Society will be Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. in the Weldon Public Library at 100 Main St. in Martin. The meeting is open and free to the public.
The speaker will be Dr. Stan Dunagan, professor of geology at the Univeristy of Tennessee-Martin. His topic will be the New Madrid Earthquakes of 1812.
