Miss Barnes to wed Nicodemus on Nov. 5

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Kara Jene Barnes of Union City and Robert Taylor Nicodemus of Humboldt are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Barnes of Union City. Her grandparents are Sue Barnes and the late Robert M. Barnes of Union City and the late GW Harrison and the late Mary Margaret King, both of Weakley County.
She is a 2003 graduate of Obion County Central High School and a 2011 graduate of Dyersburg State Community College, where she earned a degree in business administration.
The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve McFarland and Mr. and Mrs. David Nicodemus, all of Humboldt. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis King of Humboldt, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Nicodemus of Murfreesboro, Marie McFarland and the late Raymond McFarland of Lewisburg and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carnell of Gadsden, Tenn.
He is a 2006 graduate of Humboldt High School and is a 2010 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned a degree in finance and entrepreneurship.
The couple will exchange vows 6 p.m. Nov. 5 at First Baptist Church in Humboldt. Music will begin at 5:30.
A reception will be held at the Jackson Country Club in Jackson following the ceremony.
All family and friends are invited.
