Completed arrangements are being announced for Katie (Reeves) Jones, 94, of Union City, who died Oct. 25, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Exchange Street Church of Christ with Dan Huggins and Johnny Bruff officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. Friday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Ted Hamblen, Robert Reeves, Gene Reeves, Rocky Togni, Robin Wood, Dr. Paul Hill and Randy Thetford. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Exchange Street Church of Christ and their wives, members of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City Auxiliary and members of Third Review Club.
The family requests that memorials be made to Exchange Street Church of Christ or the charity of the donor’s choice.
She was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Crockett County, daughter of the late Hiram Wyatt and Minnie Lee (Warren) Reeves. She married the late Cloyce Eugene Jones June 22, 1949. He died March 8, 1969. She was a homemaker and a member of Exchange Street Church of Christ for more than 70 years. She was also a member of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City Auxiliary (Pink Ladies), where she volunteered in the gift shop; a member of Third Review Club; and a member of Reelfoot Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Kate Jones of Nashville; her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Janet Jones of Houston; two granddaughters, Jennifer Jones and Shawn Jones, both of Houston; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Carrie Lou Reeves and Minnie Bee Reeves; and four brothers, David Homer Reeves, James Reeves, Milton Reeves and Clarence Reeves.
