We had a special story time this week. This week’s story time was a “Toy Story” theme. Ms. Debora read a “Toy Story” book, played a “Toy Story” matching game and made “Toy Story” finger puppets. Following the program everyone got to visit the prize box. We will continue our story time every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for everyone who wishes to attend.
The Book Buzz club continues to meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. David Parnell, author of “Facing the Dragon,” was with us on Saturday for a book signing.
Don’t forget about the Sharon Haunted Theater, which began on Oct. 15, from 8-11 p.m. The theater will be open each Friday and Saturday night in October and on Halloween night.
Our next event will be Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Sharon City Park. We will be hosting a moon viewing conducted by Dr. Lionel Crews.
Remember we are consistently adding new books and DVDs to our collection, so stop by and check some out.
Please remember to check out our website and Facebook for library program pictures and upcoming events.
We continue to take donations of paperback, hardcover books, DVDs and VHS tapes. The library continues to offer faxing and copying for a minimal fee. We also offer free paper shredding and free Wi-Fi.
The library also has several different community items for sale, “The Last 100 Years of Sharon,” Sharon 1997 annuals and our Sharon afghans.
Please stop by to check out our ongoing book sale. Books are added weekly. Don’t forget about our recycling. We are taking ink jet cartridges, old cell phones and laser jet cartridges for recycling.
The City of Sharon also has a trailer set up for recycling. Please remember this is for paper, cardboard, electronics and aluminum only.
