Miss Winterfest slated

The White Squirrel Committee in Kenton will host the Miss Winterfest Pageant Nov. 5 beginning at 1 p.m. at the former Kenton gymnasium.
Fees are $20 for beauty only or $35 for beauty and all side categories. Side categories, which can be entered for $5 each, include prettiest hair, prettiest eyes, prettiest smile and most photogenic, for which the contestant should bring a 4-inch by 6-inch photograph for judging.
Each contestant may have one parent or guardian admitted for free. Door admission is $5 each.
The pageant is open to girls only from birth to age 21.
Contestants may pre-register by calling (731) 693-2784 or (731) 414-8545 or they may register at the door. Registration begins at noon.
