MEGA-Yard Sale
Oasis Student Ministries will be hosting a mega-yard sale on Saturday from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. All proceeds will go toward  helping students attend youth convention in November. Oasis students will host the yard sale at First Assembly of God, located at 1810 Pleasant Valley Ave. in Union City.

Youth Hunt event set
The sixth annual Youth Hunt Breakfast will be at Mack’s Grove Baptist Church at 4580 Palmersville Hwy. 89 near Dresden Oct. 29 at 4:30 a.m.
Prizes will be awarded at 7 p.m.
Participants must register at breakfast to be eligible for prizes.
Throughout the day, there will be deer weigh-ins for prizes  at Wit’s End Acres, located at 4855  Boydsville Road.
Chili, hot dogs, burgers and the trimmings will also be served at Wit’s End Acres.

Founder’s Day event set
Bells Chapel CME Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton, will host the annual Founder’s Day program Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Rev. Claudette Snorton and the congregation invite the community to join them for a message brought by special guest speaker Apostle Michael Carr of Anointed Church of the Living God in Union City.

Caccamisi to speak
The Rev. Tony Caccamisi of Memphis will be the speaker Sunday at Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Prayer begins at 9:45 a.m., followed by Sunday school at 10, Holy Grounds fellowship at 10:40 and worship at 11. A nursery will be provided and the sermon will be broadcast live on WOBT-TV.
The sermon title will be “Roller Coaster Christians” and will be based on Romans 12:1-2.
The church has also started a new Sunday School class for young adults ages 25-40. “We know that life brings a special and difficult set of challenges to people of this age group and we want to provide undergirding for them. The class is currently meeting in the pastor’s study in our education building and we issue an invitation for those who may be seeking support and Christ-centered teaching,” a spokesman said.

Revival to begin
Kenton Cumberland Pres-byterian Church is holding revival services Sunday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Tony Smith will be the evangelist, and special music will be presented by local musicians each night. For more information, call 749-5600.

Revival planned
Revival services will begin at  Calvary Baptist Church, located at 2250 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City, Sunday and will continue through Wednesday. The guest evangelist will be Brady Weldon and worship leader will be Troy Doster.  Sunday services will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., with weeknight services at 6:30. 
A nursery will be provided and everyone is invited to attend, according to the pastor, the Rev. Melvin Poe.

Special music planned
Jim Bondurant will present the special music during the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday at Union City First Baptist Church, located at 500 East Church St.
The pastor is Dr. Cecil Sewell, whose message for Sunday morning will be titled, “Seven Ducks in a Muddy River.”

 Fund raiser planned
There will be a car wash and yard sale at Faith Lutheran  Church, located at 2012 East Reelfoot Avenue in Union City, Saturday from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Proceeds will be deposited in the youth group account to assist with expenses for a future trip to the National Youth Gathering in July 2013. Bake sale slated
Manna Ministries, located on the Ken-Tenn Highway near Union City, will host a bake sale at E.W. James & Son on East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing while there are items to sell.
The Rev. Ruth Green is pastor.

Revival to begin
Revival will begin at Antioch Baptist Church in Hornbeak Tuesday and continue through Saturday, with services at 7 each evening. There will be food and fellowship at 6 p.m.
The Rev. Marvin Wilson will be the preacher.
The Rev. Pat Murdock and the congregation invite the community to attend.

Planning revival
Lake Road Baptist Church will be in revival Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and weeknights through Oct. 28 at 7. A fellowship meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The Rev. Brent Petty will be the evangelist and David Long will be music leader. The church is located at 1366 East Highway 22 near Union City.
The Rev. Chip Davis is pastor.

Harvest Day event set
Walnut Log Baptist Church will celebrate Harvest Day Sunday. The pastor and the congregation invite the community to join them for the day, which will include a noon meal and special singing with Living Truth at 1:30 p.m. Members of the group are Joe Gant, Grady Fowler, Harold Rodgers and Rusty Petty.

Gospel singing set
The Dildines will be featured at Tates Pentecostal Church, three miles west of Huntingdon on Highway 70 West, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. The Rev. Larry DePriest and the congregation invite the community to attend.
