UP IN SMOKE — Sheriff Jerry Vastbinder kept a watchful eye on the incineration of some 362,000 marijuana plants Thursday morning at the Obion County Law Enforcement Complex. The plants, valued at an estimated $434 million, were discovered by sheriff’s deputies Monday just west of Hornbeak. Several law enforcement agencies were involved in seizing the plants and gathering evidence from the site. The marijuana bust remains under investigation.
