Miss Barnes to wed Ward on Oct. 29

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Amanda Kaye Barnes of Water Valley, Ky., to Luke Aaron Ward of Martin are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Roger and Debbie Barnes of Water Valley. She is the granddaughter of Charles H. and Pat Nolan of Troy, Norma and Paul Henderson of Hickman, Ky., and the late Burnie Barnes and the late Osella Barnes, both of Water Valley.
She is a 2006 graduate of Graves County High School in Mayfield. Ky., and a 2011 graduate of West Kentucky Community and Technical College radiography program in Paducah, Ky. She is enrolled at West Kentucky Community and Technical College in the sonography program and is scheduled to graduate December 2012. She is employed at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin the radiography department.
The groom-elect is the son of Mark Ward of Dresden and Susan Ward of Union City. He is the grandson of Joyce Ward of Fulton, the late Aaron Ward, formerly of Tiptonville, and Clifton “Dick” and Bobbie Pollis of Dresden.
He is a 2004 graduate of South Fulton High School and is employed as a collision repair technician for K & J Body Shop in South Fulton.
The couple will exchange vows Oct. 29 at Bayou de Chein Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Water Valley.
