Junior Auxiliary of Obion County, along with Union City and Obion County schools, are collecting slightly worn or new coats for children in need this winter.
Residents who have coats to donate are asked to leave them at their school’s drop off box or at Crop Production Services or Lanzer Printing and Office Supply, both on First Street in Union City.
Once the coats are cleaned, they will be distributed to anyone in need, a spokesman said, adding parents who believe their children would benefit from this personally should inform their homeroom teacher.
Coat collection begins today and will end Nov. 30.
