The Fall Folklore Jamboree in Milan will be jam-packed with music, crafts, food and more Saturday at the University of Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center and West Tennessee Agricultural Museum.
The jamboree features more than 130 folk artists demonstrating traditional farming, cooking and home life skills. Kids will enjoy riding in a horse-drawn wagon, picking and ginning their own cotton and taking a tractor ride around the research center grounds.
Menu options will include grilled tenderloin, homemade chili, hamburgers, hot dogs and nachos. Participants can also sample fresh apple cider and old-fashioned kettle corn made right on the grounds.
Thee West Tennessee Agricultural Museum will be open and includes one of the largest collections of agricultural artifacts in the country. With more than 15,000 items on display, the museum tells the story of rural life in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Fall Folklore Jamboree starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children ages 3-12. Parking is free.
