County meeting set Posted: Monday, October 10, 2011 4:02 pm The Messenger, October 10, 2011 The Obion County Legislative Body will meet 9 a.m. Oct. 17 at the Obion County Courthouse circuit courtroom in Union City. Items on the agenda include the approval of minutes from the September 2011 meeting; a resolution to adopt a reapportionment/redistricting plan for Obion County; a resolution concerning local service assistance in regard to satellite TV, cable TV and AT&T; a resolution to authorize the submission of an application for a Used Oil Grant ($3,000); a report from the Courthouse Committee regarding the memorial monument located at the Obion County fairgrounds; approval of the donation of two vehicles to county agencies; a request by the sheriff for the creation of a special account; a resolution to express support for state legislation to amend TCA 8-44-101; approval of Notary Public applications. Also considered will be appointments to the following boards and committees: • appointments to the Everett-Stewart Regional Airport Board (now serving are Jim Bondurant and Mike Holman); • appointment to the Civil Service Board (now serving is Ann McGuire). The meeting is open to the public. |
