Upcoming events on the UT Martin campus

Tickets are now on sale for the University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Music’s annual dessert evening concert. The performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Oct. 6-8, at the Martin First United Methodist Church.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for UT Martin students and children 12 years old and younger.
UT Martin students will perform both choral and solo pieces while patrons enjoy a variety of tempting desserts. Each ticket sale includes three dessert courses.
All proceeds support the choral and vocal programs at UT Martin.

The University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Music is hosting world-renowned percussion duo Maraca2.
The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday in room 112 of the Boling University Center on the UT Martin campus.
Maraca2, formed in 2004 by undergraduate students at the Birmingham Conservatoire, has been recognized as “the United Kingdom’s most internationally established percussion duo,” according to the official Maraca2 website. The duo’s music ranges from marimba arrangements of popular classics to influences of modern jazz, funk and pop.
The percussion duo has performed around the world, including South America, the Caribbean and the United States.
Maraca2 is back in the U.S. by popular demand and UT Martin is pleased to be a stop on this second American tour.
This performance is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
