Several elementary students were recognized during the Dresden Elementary School Citizen of the Month program. | | | Several elementary students were recognized during the Dresden Elementary School Citizen of the Month program. This program is sponsored by the Dresden Pilot Club and Woodmen of the World Lodge 291. Each student is selected by his/her teacher. These students are then recognized at an elementary assembly where they receive an American flag, pin and Citizen of the Month certificate. Winners from September include (in random order) kindergarten – Paisley Pittman, Reese Bell, Jon Mark Melton, Catie Swatzell, Cadence Scott, first grade – Misty Gilmer, Gabriel Parnell, Mace Wilson, Garrett Perkins, Abby Farris, second grade – Kiara Baker, Gavin Cooper, Adrienne Pinion, Samuel Laws, Abagale Bequette, third grade – Camren Devlin, Aleea Davis, Molly Shannon Maddox, Caylin Quick, fourth grade – Roger Stout, Angelus Butler, Rebekah Parnell, Katherine Anthony, Blake Arnold, Abi Parnell and Brooke Parker. On hand for the ceremony were Laurie Pritchett, Dresden Pilot Club member; Jerry Riggs, DES Citizen of Year; and David Spencer, Woodmen of the World Lodge 291 sponsor.
