The final wedding plans for Selena Mae Sedberry and Tyler Wayne Barker are being announced today.
They will wed Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Union City, with the Rev. Richard Dickerson of Nashville officiating. Music will begin at 5:30.
A reception will immediately follow the ceremony at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 near Union City.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Steve and Regina Sedberry of Union City. She is the granddaughter of June Sedberry and the late John Morgan “Buddy” Sedberry Jr. of Union City, Martha Smith of Westland, Mich., and Aubrey Smith of Clayton.
The groom-elect is the son of Wayne and Judy Barker of Union City. He is the grandson of Royce “Bim” Barker and the late Fay Barker of Union City and Marie Broadstreet and the late Eugene Broadstreet of Jackson.
Stephanie (Sedberry) McClanahan of Union City will serve as matron of honor, while Reena Reavis of Union City will be her maid of honor. Bridesmaids will be Kristy Klinkhammer of Dyersburg, Julie Porter of Jackson, Meredith Sherman of Atlanta and Allison Becksfort of Germantown, childhood friends of the bride-elect.
Natalie Barker of Hornbeak and Olivia Barker of Obion, cousins of the bride-elect, will serve as flower girls. Honorary flower girls will be Annie Beth Cruce of Troy and Evie Cruce of Union City.
The groom-elect’s father will serve as best man. Groomsmen will be Parks Barker, brother of the groom-elect, of Union City; and Jonathan Phillips of Fall Branch, Chip Walton of South Pittsburg, T.J. Rehmert of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Matt Harris of Rives.
Aidan Becksfort of Germantown and Pierson McClanahan of Union City will serve as ring bearers.
Serving as attendants will be friends of the bridal couple, Rhiannon Owsley of Obion, Amy Sullivan of Troy and Paige Vinson of Union City.
Ushers will be Brian Barkley, Barrett Betts, Travis Hill and Jace Porter, all of Union City, and Drew Bacon of Lancaster, N.Y., childhood friends of the groom-elect.
Vocalists will be Valli Kelly of Martin and Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church Choir, with Suzanne Harrington of Dyersburg and Angie Brown of Union City as pianists.
