For the week of Sept. 25-Oct. 1, the Union City Fire Department had a total of 35 alarms, including 27 medical, three commercial, one residential automatic alarm, one motor vehicle accident, one grass fire, one rural fire and one vehicle gas leak. There were 145 alarms during September and there have been 1,098 alarms so far this year.
