Marcus Parr
    School:    Obion Central
    Grade:    Senior
          Height:    6-2
    Weight:    200
    Pos.:  Linebacker

By the numbers: Parr made his name for the night with big plays as he had one tackle for a loss, a player where he also caused and recovered a fumble, along with an interception and a pass break-up in addition to his seven total tackles.
Sound bite: “Marcus is just a playmaker,” Jackson said. “Plain and simple. He’s so gifted, and he’s always around the football. The play he made the other night where he deflected the pitch, tackled the quarterback and then recovered the fumble is something like you’d see at the next level. He’s passionate about the game and our program, and he wants to do well. His energy is infectious to the rest of the team and he makes plays that change the momentum on both sides of the ball.”
HONORABLE MENTION: Josh Quinton, OC senior linebacker, had 14 total tackles, including 10 solo stops and four behind the line of scrimmage; Tanner Cary, OC senior linebacker, had 13 tackles, including nine solo stops and a sack; Willy Kneuppel and Ryan Moore, SF junior and sophomore linebackers, each had five tackles and a fumble recovery; Joseph Shanks, UC junior linebacker, had eight total tackles; Ricky Henry, UC freshman linebacker, had five tackles, including two sacks, as the Golden Tornadoes held off Trenton, 21-19; Keontre Murrell, UC junior cornerback, returned a fumble 97 yards for a TD to go with four tackles.
