Cocaine discovered in Martin apartment
A recent search warrant yielded positive results as Martin Police officers uncovered drugs and drug paraphernalia at an apartment in Martin Thursday morning.
According to an MPD incident report, a number of officers executed the warrant early Thursday morning at a residence on 321 Lee St. Apt. 2.
The report stated the search allegedly turned up three small individual-sized plastic bags containing a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, a set of digital scales, multiple torn plastic bags and a box of fresh small plastic bags.
The report stated the alleged offender, James Claybrook, was read his Miranda rights upon which he admitted the white powdery substance was cocaine and that it was his.
He was then taken into custody and transported to MPD for booking procedures.
