The University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Music has a staff of professors who practice what they teach.
The department’s annual Faculty Showcase Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13 in Watkins Auditorium of Boling University Center.
The program will include instrumental and vocal works ranging from the Baroque period to the modern era. A special silent auction will also be held to benefit Friends of Music, a fund primarily supporting student music activities.
Performers will include Amy Yeung and Roberto Mancusi, vocalists; Elaine Harriss, Delana Easley and Johnathan Vest, pianists; Kurt Gorman, trumpet; Julie Hill, percussion; Amy Simmons, clarinet; Matthew Stratton, tuba; Doug Owens, oboe; Joseph Frye, trombone; and Jessica Thoman, horn.
The event is free and open to the public.
