The bride is the daughter of Brent and Linda Nethery of Martin. The groom is the son of Mike and Donna Nowell of Portageville, Mo., and Mark Ash of Marston, Mo.
The couple was married surrounded by cascading candelabras decorated with greenery and white satin bows. The altar was decorated with two large flower arrangements of yellow, blue and white flowers placed in memory of the bride’s grandfather, Larry Flynt.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and was radiant in an Allure Couture gown of rich satin with ruching asymmetrically throughout and featuring a one-shouldered neckline encrusted with Swarovski crystals.
The fitted skirt was accented with a large bow with Swarovski crystal detail at the side hip while a sweep train completed the elegant gown.
The bridesmaids wore dresses with Y-necklines in cornflower blue and carried bouquets of yellow carnations with blue cornflowers.
Miss Hilary King, best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lynsey Evans, Whitney Pope, Chelsea Thompson, Marissa Ritchison, and Heather Higgs, all friends of the bride.
The Junior Bridesmaid was Hannah Ash, sister of the groom. She wore a y-neck, above the knee length dress in sunset yellow and carried a bouquet of yellow carnations and blue cornflowers.
The flower girl was Alexa Ash, niece of the groom. She wore a tea-length sunset yellow dress with a cornflower blue sash and carried a white satin basket with yellow rose petals.
Registry attendants were Megan Witherspoon and Lauren Witherspoon, friends of the bride, and Mallory Morton and Courtney Chamberlain, friends of the groom.
The groom, groomsmen, and ring bearer wore black tuxedos with cornflower blue vests. Grant Ash, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Patrick Morton, C.J. Medley, Cory Chamberlain and Jordan Bidewell, all friends of the groom, and Cory Nethery, brother of the bride.
Hayden Smith, friend of the bride, served as ring bearer and also rang the bell to announce the entrance of the bride.
Tyler Fowler and Josh Canoy, friends of the groom, served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Lindell in downtown Martin. Family and fiends enjoyed a variety of finger foods, a fruit buffet, mock champagne punch and water with lemon and lime.
The bride’s cake was a delicious four-tier cake of alternating vanilla and chocolate layers, iced with buttercream frosting.
It was decorated with pearls at the base of each layer and a cascading fondant ribbon.
The groom’s cake was yellow butter cake with buttercream frosting and was decorated with the emblem of the St. Louis Cardinals, his favorite MLB team.
The guests were also given silver chiffon draw string bags they could fill with a variety of candies from the candy buffet, including both sweet and sour treats.
Amid many bubbles, the newlyweds left for their honeymoon at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla.
The couple will initially make their home in Martin before moving to Monterey, Calif., where they will be stationed as the groom is a member of the United States Air Force.
