|Taste of Ken-Tenn features treats from local eateries |

| Sparkling wine and delicious samples of menu items from some of the favorite eateries in the area will be on tap, along with entertainment and a chance to socialize in a relaxing outdoor setting, at the upcoming inaugural Taste of Ken-Tenn Food and Wine Event. |
The fun will begin at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Kiwanis Park in downtown Union City and continue for two hours.
Tickets are $25 and are on sale from several planning committee members, at the Main Street Union City office and at the gate that evening.
Union City Rotary Club is sponsoring the fund raiser, which will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Tennessee-Union City, Masquerade Theatre and Main Street Union City.
Ticket holders will be serenaded by Blind Red Rooster band and Jamie Worrell while they make their way from food tent to food tent, gathering tasty treats, and enjoying the wine samples or soft drinks that will be available.
Among the restaurants taking part will be Applebees, Asian Grill, Bucket’s Neighborhood Pub and Grill, China Grove Country Store, Dusty Joe’s, Higher Ground Coffee Co., Hub’s Restaurant, Little General, Lupo’s Italian Steakhouse, Olivia’s Opera House, Rodeo Bar and Grill, Ryan’s Family Steakhouse, Sassafraz, Snappy Tomato, Sugar Momma’s, The Looking Glass Coffee and Curiosities, Tony’s Sports Bar and Grill and Williams Sausage Co.
Union City Coca-Cola Bottling Co. will be providing non-alcoholic beverages. Ticket sales are brisk, a spokesman said, and advised those planning to attend to purchase theirs soon. Published in The Messenger 9.28.11
